How one visionary client helped shape the world's first generation of luxury glass domes for glamping.
Long before luxury glass domes became popular around the world, they were simply an idea. There were no reference projects. No mature supply chain. No standard solutions. Only a client with a vision and a team willing to build something that had never existed before. That story began in Jordan.

One of the earliest luxury glass dome resorts in the world.
At the end of 2018, a client named Abed traveled from Jordan to China with one clear objective.
He wasn't looking for another supplier. He was searching for the future of luxury glamping. At that time, his campsite already operated around ten PVC domes. They had served their purpose, but they also revealed their limitations. Humidity. Odor. Maintenance. A premium hospitality experience required something better.
During his search across China, he visited many manufacturers. Yet only one factory was developing an entirely different concept. A fully insulated luxury glass dome. When he arrived at the RAXDOME factory, he immediately realized this was exactly what he had been searching for.
Sometimes, the right project begins with the right meeting.

Abed visited our factory to explore the future of luxury glamping. Designing the Guest Experience before Building the Dome. One of the moments we still remember today happened inside our factory. Instead of discussing prices first, Abed lay down on the floor. Using tape and simple sketches, he began planning the entire interior layout.
He wanted to experience the space exactly as future guests would. The vision was surprisingly clear. A king-size bed would face an expansive transparent glass façade. Guests could lie in bed and watch the stars without leaving the room. Behind the bedroom, a privacy wall would separate the bathroom. The bathroom itself would feature blue reflective insulated glass together with marble interior panels, creating privacy while maintaining a premium atmosphere.
This wasn't simply interior design. It was the beginning of a guest experience.

Every detail was designed around the guest experience. Creating Solutions That Didn't Exist Yet. The architecture was only the beginning. Luxury hospitality is defined by details. The client expected perfection.So did we.
One of the biggest challenges became the curtain system. Standard curtain tracks simply couldn't work inside a curved glass dome. Together, we developed China's first 270-degree double-layer curtain system designed specifically for insulated glass domes. Getting it right required numerous rounds of testing. The curtain height. The pleat spacing. The fabric weight. The reinforcement of the curved tracks.
Even the curtain material itself had to be customized to withstand Jordan's harsh desert environment. Everything was refined until the system operated smoothly while maintaining a luxurious appearance.
Years later, many manufacturers began adopting similar solutions. But this project was where it all began.

The first generation of customized 270° double-layer curtain system. Luxury Is More Than Architecture. Abed believed that architecture alone could not create an unforgettable destination.
Every piece of furniture was handcrafted in Egypt or Morocco. Natural textures. Handmade finishes.
Warm materials. Combined with the panoramic glass structure, the interiors created an atmosphere unlike traditional hotels. It was luxury inspired by the desert itself.

Two RAXDOME senior engineers worked alongside the local team in Jordan to help deliver the project successfully.
To help Aicha Memories open on schedule, RAXDOME sent two senior installation engineers from China to Jordan. For weeks, they worked side by side with the local team in the desert. Every structural connection. Every glass panel. Every curtain track. Every installation detail was checked carefully to ensure that all 25 domes met the same quality standard. But their mission was not simply to assemble buildings. They trained the client's installation team. They solved unexpected challenges on site. They shared practical installation experience accumulated through years of manufacturing.
Because we believe that a successful project is measured not by the day the products leave our factory, but by the day the resort successfully opens its doors.
This philosophy remains unchanged today.
No matter where our projects are located, our engineering team is always ready to support our clients when it matters most.
In 2019, twenty-five luxury glass domes were successfully completed in Jordan. The resort officially opened in July. Very quickly, Aicha Memories became one of Jordan's most recognizable luxury desert destinations.
Travelers from around the world came to experience something entirely new.
The project proved that luxury glamping could become more than camping.
It could become a destination.
