Located beside the turquoise waters and white-sand beaches of Lakshadweep, the project required a distinctive accommodation solution that could deliver visual identity, guest comfort and efficient large-scale deployment.
A Client Who Inspected Before Investing
Before confirming the project, the client traveled to China and visited the RAXDOME factory in person.
During the factory visit, the client inspected our existing samples, reviewed our manufacturing capabilities and discussed how the new structure could be adapted for a premium coastal resort.
For an investment of this scale, drawings and quotations alone were not enough.
The client wanted to experience the materials, structural details, interior space and workmanship directly before moving forward.
This factory visit created the foundation for a transparent and highly detailed development process.
Prototype First, Mass Production Second
Before producing the full order, RAXDOME developed a dedicated prototype for the project.
Every important component was reviewed carefully with the client, including:
- Overall caterpillar-inspired form
- Structural system
- Aluminum profiles
- Exterior materials
- Interior lining
- Entrance door
- Connection details
- Interior space and functionality
- Manufacturing and installation methods
The prototype allowed both teams to identify and resolve potential issues before mass production.
Only after the structure, appearance, profiles, lining system, doors and other details were fully confirmed did the project move into large-scale manufacturing.
This process helped ensure that all 100 units maintained consistent dimensions, appearance and quality.
A Distinctive Coastal Accommodation Concept
The elongated, curved shape gives the units a strong visual identity that differs from conventional tents, cabins and modular hotel rooms.
When arranged across the island resort, the structures create a recognizable architectural language while remaining compatible with the surrounding tropical landscape.
Each unit was designed as a complete beachfront guest room, providing the space and privacy required for resort accommodation while allowing the operator to develop a large number of rooms within a unified design system.
The result is more than a collection of tents.
It is a complete coastal hospitality environment designed around the guest experience.
Manufacturing 100 Customized Units
Large-volume customized production requires close coordination across multiple departments.
Throughout the Praveg project, RAXDOME’s design, engineering, purchasing, production, quality-control, project-management and logistics teams worked together to maintain consistency across every unit.
From profile processing and structural fabrication to interior lining, door assembly and final packing, each stage followed the approved prototype and confirmed technical requirements.
For a project of 100 accommodation units, standardization was essential—but so was attention to detail.
Our goal was to ensure that the final unit delivered the same quality and appearance as the sample approved by the client.
Designed for a Remote Island Destination
